Ullate’s winery is a small family business born from the passion for cultivating vine, a passion which has reached the fourth generation of the Ullate’s family, in Monteagudo, in the heart of Navarre. The heirs of Mr.Guillermo Ullate have masterly combined the traditional knowledge of making wine, received from previous generations, and the most avant-garde technique in enology and cultivation of the plants.
Ullate’s winery gives a special role to quality, originality and singularity in it’s wines, in the search of delicacy, complexity and elegance. For those reasons, our company cultivates the traditional varieties typical of our region: Garnacha y Tempranillo, completing them in a slight proportion with Mazuelo, Merlot and Vidau (a very old mixture of Garnacha, Monastrel, Bobal and Graciano). The age of the plants range between the three years of the youngest and over eighty of the oldest.
“The conjunction of the passion for the vine deeply rooted in our family and the privileged fields placed at the foothills of the Moncayo and under the influence of the Monteblanco mountains and the river Queiles have elevated our work to the category of an art”.
